Vintage 1972 M.I. Hummel Goebel “Hear Ye, Hear Ye” 2nd Annual Plate HUM 265 – Original Box & Insert

A charming 1972 M.I. Hummel Annual Plate by W. Goebel, featuring the beloved “Hear Ye, Hear Ye” design. This was the second plate in Goebel’s Annual Plate series, following the inaugural 1971 issue. The raised, hand-painted design depicts a young town crier bundled in blue, blowing his horn while carrying a lantern and staff.

The reverse is marked “W. Goebel-Porzellanfabrik – Hand Painted – M.J. Hummel – 2nd Annual Plate – 1972 – Rödental-West Germany – HUM 265.” The plate measures approximately 7½ inches in diameter, consistent with Goebel’s documented specifications for HUM 265.

This example is especially nice for resale because it includes the original 1972 presentation box and informational insert, both shown in the photographs.

Condition: Plate appears to be in very good vintage condition with no obvious chips or cracks visible in the photographs. Original box shows age/storage wear. Original paper insert is included. Because this is a vintage item, minor age-related wear should be expected.
